X1 ProductionFilesTool
INTRODUCTION
To check if all HTML templates of your ShopSystem (invoices, delivery bills, etc.) are correctly formatted and filled with content, there is our test tool for production files. With its help, you can view the source code of the templates as well as generate formatted PDF files without triggering a new order for every change.
Please always note that the tool is only intended for editing and test formatting. Changes made within the test tool are not automatically applied to the actual templates!
Marking an order for the ProductionFilesTool
To make an order usable in the ProductionFilesTool, go to the "Production → Orders" tab in the Data Center. In the overview, select the orders that you want to use in the tool.
IMPORTANT! Never select a real order from customers. Always work with test orders only.
Then go to the DropDown menu above the table and select "Use in ProductionFilesTool". The orders are then usable in the tool.
CALL AND EDIT A TEMPLATE WITH THE TEST TOOL
This code is now editable and will generate new template views depending on the changes you make. If you want to check your changes against an actual formatted invoice, select an invoice from the "- - Please select an order - -" menu and click Generate Output.
The invoice generated based on the edited template will then be displayed as a PDF in the “Output window”.
In parallel, under the "Helpers" menu item, you can also click on "Show template available data" to display all the variables that are used in relation to the template or the generated PDF file. Please note that these values are variable and their number, as well as the user types, vary from template to template of course also Please note that the tool can only vary from customer to customer.
