The Test Tool for Production Files

In order to check whether all HTML templates in your shop system (invoices, dispatch notes, etc.) are formatted and filled in correctly you can use our test tool for production files. This tool allows you to display the source code of the templates as well as generate formatted PDF files without triggering an order with every amendment.

Please always keep in mind that the tool is intended for editing and test formatting only. Changes made within the test tool will not automatically be applied to the actual templates!

The tool can be reached via a direct URL, which you can determine yourself upon delivery of printQ. Likewise, an e-mail address which you will use to access the tool is set. Please note: It is not possible to use this tool with more than one e-mail address. You are limited to one defined address.

OPENING AND EDITING A TEMPLATE WITH THE TEST TOOL

Start the tool using the URL provided and select the desired template in the drop-down menu with the placeholder ”- - Please select a production file template - -“. Its source code will then be displayed in the text field INPUT underneath the menu.

You can now edit this code and hence generate new template views. If you wish to review your changes by means of an actual formatted invoice, select an invoice from the menu ”- - Please select an order - -“ and click Generate Output.

The invoice generated based on the edited template will then be displayed in the window “Output” in PDF-format.

Under “Helpers” you can at the same time display all variables which are used in relation to the template or the generated PDF file by clicking Show template available data. Please note that these values are variable and can vary in number as well as type used from template to template and of course also from customer to customer.
