Photo Importer: Facebook & Instagram & Fotolia
You can offer your customers the possibility to not only fall back to own pictures on a data carrier for their personalization products, but to also use pictures from their own Facebook- and Instagram-accounts as well as the picture database fotolia.
To do this, you need to connect Magento or printQ with the respective platforms. This is done via special interfaces. Provided you do have accounts registered with the above mentioned services, you also have to be logged in in order to be able to retrieve the data required for printQ.
In your fotolia account you can request an API key under Tools, which you should enter in the Fotolia Personalization Credentials under CloudLab - Settings – Configuration – Personalization Fotolia Credentials together with your user name and fotolia password.
In Instagram, switch to the developer area under https://instagram.com/developer, and register your applications and a new client. Enter [yourwebsiteaddress]/personalize/instagram/ index/ as OAuth redirect_url and use
Disable implicit OAuth: checked
Enforce signed header: unchecked
Once you have solved the captcha, your online shop is registered and the values relevant for printQ will be displayed. Enter these values in Personalization Social Credentials under CloudLab – Settings – Configuration.
In order to connect your shop to Facebook, you will need a developer account. Log in and switch to developers.facebook.com. Select Add a new App and the platform Website.
Assign a name and follow the Quick Start Steps. You will then receive the required App ID, which you should enter in Personalization Social Credentials under CloudLab – Settings - Configuration as well.
In the OTP-Editor your customers can now select pictures from the above mentioned services and use them for customization. None of these functions will incur any additional costs for your customers.
