Creating a personalization product for the OTP editor

Personalization templates for the „On the product“ editor, short: OTP editor, are basically created just like the ones for the form editor in the previous chapter. But here the customer can design his print product himself and freely move text fields around, insert graphics or images, rotate frames, etc., depending on configurations.

How exactly your customers can modify the frames, which you create as PDFlib-blocks in Acrobat, is defined by the PDFlibparameters, some of which you have learned about already, as well as by the settings in the printQ-personalization menu.

ADDITIONAL FRAMES IN THE DOCUMENT

The OTP editor allows you to provide your customers with additional frames for custom designs on the print product. You have to create these in the PDFlib or InDesign document first with the necessary parameters.

Create a block of the desired type (for example Textline or image) outside of (!) the PDF-document.

The parameter in the user defined block properties is „Template=1“. With this setting, your customer can design as many blocks of this type as he requires.
